Buying your first home can be a fun, exciting, and a new experience. The Prime Team at Keller Williams is ready to help you every step along the way.

When you’re ready to purchase your first home, there are three important things you must do in order to have a smooth home buying experience.
First, you need a real estate agent who has the time and energy to invest in you and your new home. You’ve come to the right place! We have the top buyers agents on our team, and any of us will be happy to show you any home listed with not only our company but Remax, Berkshire Hathaway, CBS Home, NP Dodge, for-sale-by-owner, new construction, etc.  We’re here to help you, so choose one of the agents on our team by going to the agent tab on our website. Our agents all work full-time, and are knowledgeable about the local market. We specialize in both buying and selling homes, and service Omaha, Elkhorn, Bellevue, Papillion LaVista and the surrounding areas. Working with a buyers agent doesn’t cost you anything; we are paid by the seller. Any extra closing cost fees we negotiate for the seller to cover for our buyers, so you come out of pocket with as little down as possible.
Next, our team will help you get a pre-approval letter, prior to looking at houses. Getting approved for a loan before looking at homes helps our buyers not fall in love with a house that’s out of their price range. There are several loan options for first-time home buyers that can get you into a house with little money down, and competitive interest rates. A very common loan for first-time home buyers is the NIFA loan. You can visit for more information. We can also recommend lenders we know will help make the process go as smoothly as possible. Most lenders will require a credit score of 640 or higher, however occasionally, 600 will be sufficient. If you need help with your credit, please contact us and we can put you in touch with local credit advisors.
Lastly, once you are approved for a loan, the fun starts! Typically, first-time buyers will have already looked at homes online, so once you contact The Prime Team, we’ll take you out to your top 5-10 homes to start. During this process, we’ll get a better idea of what you’re looking for and what things you desire in your first home. All buyers agents on our team are highly trained to assist our clients in the home buying process from start to finish with ease. Once you find your dream home, we can provide recommendations for home inspection companies and closing companies. We can help you save money and make sure the transaction runs smoothly.
If you’re looking to purchase your first home, your last, or anything in-between, we’d love to work with you. Please contact The Prime Team today to get you linked with a real estate agent who specializes in your favorite location.
